BRITISH ASIAN TRUST   British Asian Trust

Navin became an ambassador for the British Asian Trust in 2011.  Since then he has helped raise over £10,000 by being a part of the Trust’s various fundraising initiatives, notably by helping to break the Guinness World Record for the biggest Bollywood dance to his song ‘Mehbooba’.

The British Asian Trust meets crucial needs in South Asia. Founded in 2007 by HRH The Prince of Wales, The Trust has already touched the lives of more than 800,000 people in the poorest communities.  It does this by investing in high-impact local charities known to deliver lasting change, transforming lives through education, health and livelihood initiatives that generate self-sufficiency.

SILVERSTARSilverStar

Navin has supported SilverStar for several years now, and was officially invited to become an ambassador in 2012.  Having performed at many of the fundraising events, Navin has helped raise awareness of the charity amongst the youth.

Silver Star is a registered charity campaigning to provide diabetes awareness. The Charity runs Mobile Diabetes Units.  Their main role is to carry out important diabetes testing and to promote culturally sensitive healthcare in the major towns and cities of Britain.

SEWA DAYSewa Day

Navin first lent his support to SEWA Day in 2010 when he appeared in their viral awareness campaign, recording a short video in which he performed an acoustic version of his song, ‘Tere Liye’.  Since then he has encouraged his fans to participate in the initiative and most recently presented awards to volunteers who made outstanding contributions during SEWA Day at the SEWA Day Pioneers Awards.

On Sewa Day, thousands of people across the world come together to perform Sewa (acts of selfless giving and kindness) and experience the joy of giving in its truest sense.  Previously, participating groups have organised Sewa Day volunteering projects in old people’s homes, homeless shelters, schools in disadvantaged areas, hospitals and hospices, country parks, conservation areas and city farms – all with an aim of making a positive difference to someone else’s happiness and prosperity.
